Sing For Character! “Sing for character with Brian Chevalier!” Sing songs written especially for character education...in concert! In “Sing For Character With Brian Chevalier”, classes and / or teachers have the option to preview and choose songs from a collection of songs Brian has developed and written with teams of teachers and classes throughout New York State. Most of the songs are also tied into other curriculum areas, for example “Rock The World, Diversity” ties third grade Social Studies into the theme of diversity. “Once Apond A Time” ties first grade science (ponds) into how diversity is a strength. Classes can prepare for the performance with Brian by listening to discs that come with a grid explaining curriculum areas addressed by the songs. There is also a study guide of ideas to assist in exploring the songs, and movement and sign language ideas for the student’s performance with Brian. Classes can easily prepare for the concert with classroom and / or music teachers by singing along with the disc. Brian is available to consult with and help teachers choose the best song possibilities for their needs. Preparatory workshops for classes are also available! Classes can meet Brian and develop their performance. A class, grade level or school building can also write a song of their own with Brian for the performance.
